The resort has the peninsula to itself, with three beaches around it. Snorkelling and glass bottom boats go out from the sand over the marine park, and are among the water sports included.
The marine park is Shandrani's sea, at Blue Bay in the south east. Within the grounds is a nine hole pitch and putt with a golf coach, and a full round can be played at Avalon Golf Estate.
Shandrani for 2 is kept for adults, with Bayview and Beach rooms, a restaurant and a bar of its own, and the run of the whole resort. Families take two bedroom apartments, and the 2 Beachfront Villas, on the ground floor, hold a larger party.
Le Sirius cooks Mauritian gourmet dishes at lunch and dinner, its tables facing the Blue Bay Marine Park. Next door, Teak Elephant serves Thai food family style, the dishes brought for the table to share.
